ACL implements the following measures to ensure the efficient use of resources at its own location.
Development and production "Made in Germany" with domestic suppliers
ACL develops and manufactures its products entirely in Germany. Collaboration with selected suppliers and the responsible use of resources enable short transport routes and enhance value creation. 50 percent of direct suppliers (by sales volume) are based in Germany. The primary and secondary packaging for our products is made from recyclable materials. We are continuously working to increase the proportion of recyclable packaging in our total outgoing shipments.
Long service life of ACL products in practice
ACL devices are designed for a long service life and high product quality. For example, the OR-PC® at the University Hospital Leipzig is frequently used in continuous operation for more than ten years before replacement is necessary.
Power supply with our own photovoltaic system
250 kVa photovoltaic systems with 100 kVa storage are installed on the two production halls and on the roof of the parking lot at the site to provide the company's own power supply.
Air-source heat pumps
The production hall for ACL OR-CONSOLE® opened in June 2023 has air-source heat pumps for cooling and heating.
Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles
Electric charging points are available in the company car park for employees' and customers' electric vehicles.
Bee honey and company-owned fruit trees
Since 2021, honey has been produced by two bee colonies at the ACL headquarters. From the surrounding plants such as rape, dandelion and the company's own fruit trees, 80,000 bees collect the delicious nectar, from which 100 kg of honey are extracted.
ISO 14001 certification confirms that ACL operates an environmental management system aligned with an internationally recognized standard, supporting systematic environmental management and continuous improvement.
ACL is committed to promoting classical music in the region.
Bachfest Leipzig
Since 2021, ACL has sponsored the famous Bachfest, which takes place in Leipzig and is one of the largest international festivals for classical music.
Advanced Partner of the Gewandhausorchesters Leipzig
Since 2016, ACL has been supporting the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig, which is the world's largest professional orchestra and also forms the oldest civic concert orchestra in the German-speaking world.
